X-rays
An x-ray may be taken when a detailed visual analysis of a joint is required by a chiropractor, physiotherapist or podiatrist.
At the clinic we have a brand new digital x-ray machine; the only one of this kind in the region. Using state-of-the-art digital technology, the machine gives immediate results, which can be read in much greater detail than a traditional machine. Housing this facility on-site means that if required an x-ray can often be performed on the same day as consultation.
X-rays are taken with the patient in a standing position, giving a more true result, reflecting the function of the body. They are sent directly to each treatment room where patients can view their skeletal images on a computer screen. One of the most important functions of the new technology is that image contrasts can be changed and areas can be zoomed into, resulting in the clearest possible picture.
X-rays are available to clinic patients when required and also to patients referred by other practitioners, who can take their images away on a disc.
