Gemma Pointon-TaylorBSc. (Hons) ITEC SPS Dip. MSMA

With a lifelong sporting background, Gemma gained her BSc. (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Gloucestershire and went on to complete a diploma in Sports Massage, as well as a number of courses, including Advanced Massage Techniques.

Gemma’s knowledge is enhanced having personal understanding of a variety of sports, from being both an elite performer and strict exerciser. Her love of playing hockey and her professional skill level led to her work with the Welsh National Hockey Squad as their Sports Massage Practitioner for the 2006 & 2007 International Seasons.

Gemma has a personal understanding of the physiological, psychological and biomechanical strains placed upon the human body, from not only her medical training, but also having participated at a high level in sport herself. This enables her to have both a clinical and personal approach, when dealing with her clients’ variety of needs.

Matt Mills

Matt Mills is a highly qualified Personal Trainer and Outdoor Activity Instructor. He has worked in the leisure industry for over 12 years, where he’s gained invaluable knowledge and understanding of physical fitness, health and injury. Matt is also a keen sportsman himself, regularly working out at the gym, climbing and triathlon training.

Striving to be the best at what he does, Matt has undertaken further qualifications in weight loss, strength training, postural correction and remedial exercise, as well as Sports and Remedial Massage.

Providing massage and muscle release techniques at the Regency Chiropractic Clinic, Matt sees clients suffering from specific injuries, as well as those who simply want to keep on top of their physical fitness. When required, he works alongside the Chiropractors to offer the best possible patient care.

Fru Grace BA(Hons) IIHHT Dip ST, MNHMA, FHT

Fru is an experienced Sports and Massage Therapist, with a background in personal training. Focusing now on her own treatment – Balancing Massage – Fru combines a variety of techniques to produce a very different type of massage. (see Balancing Massage page for more details)

Fru is trained in Sports, Remedial, Hot Stone, Indian Head and No Hands Massage, as well as having a diploma in Sports Therapy.

Drawing on her experience of working as a sports therapist, Fru has a deep understanding of the mechanics of the human body, injuries (both acute and chronic) and the repair/healing process. She has worked closely with both Chiropractors and Physiotherapists and supported a number of rugby clubs, with general injury care, as well as match day support. Her clients can expect to receive a deeply relaxing massage with powerful healing results.
