Podiatry

Podiatry is a medical specialty that focuses on the management of foot problems.

Importantly as the foot has a major influence on how you walk and stand, its healthy functioning is also vital for a properly functioning leg and back. We find many problems in shins, calves, knees and backs can be greatly improved by proper assessment and where needed treatment of poor foot function. A true cliché is “when your feet hurt you hurt all over!”

Foor orthotics

Foot orthotics are specially designed insoles that can be placed in your shoes and influence how your feet move whilst you walk. They affect not only your feet but you entire leg and back and can have a hugely beneficial effect on your overall posture. Orthotics can be custom made or made from ready made designs and all are now done in our in-house workshop. In-house design gives us total control over the shape and comfort of your orthotics and any alterations can be done quickly and free of charge.

State of art analysis

The Regency clinic has a state of the art set-up for analysis with dedicated treadmill, video walking/running recording and a system for measuring pressure under your feet inside your shoes. Where these are necessary they again give much improved results due to the ability to further fine tune the ultimate shape and design of your orthotics.

Lawrence Bevan works closely with the rest of the team at Regency Clinic to integrate his treatments into your overall management, a factor many patients find a great help. He is happy to discuss your suitability or need to see a Podiatrist and offer any advice that may assist you in your recovery.
